As much as you guys hate what is happening to Lifetank, attempting to get around the restrictions imposed by the maintainers (and stated in the EULA) is the wrong approach. By threatening to do this, you will turn people against you who weren't before.


It is one thing to argue about what features something should have, but it is a completely different thing to talk about violating the license agreement (pirating the software).


Oh, and also, you're just pushing them to do what I mentioned already: block ALL other decal plugins, or create an 'allow list' rather than a 'deny list'.

All I would be doing is changing SW's not LT. Hell I would not even be using it, I don't need to macro... I'm Loaded to the teeth with MMD's, I have 3 lv 275's and 1 tricked out tinker toon. 5 major suits...I don't need to macro or worry about the changes they made. Its the fact that they have a special version for themselves and act all high and mighty.

If it really comes down to it. I'll take the old code I have somewhere on my computer and work on it for a few months. Its something I didn't really want to do but these guys are a total joke. I'm on the same time constrains para and crelic are in. No life with work and school. But hell if gets rid of them as runners or LTx it would make my day.

i don't know what backwards law you guys have in the U.S but where im from you can not tell people what software they can or can not run on their PC along with yours. how would you feel if Microsoft put in the EULA that you could only play Games Developed by MS on Xp or Vista ?


no self respecting decal Dev / plugin Dev has tried to outlaw the use of other plugins. matter of fact back when the whole uproar about Eltank was going on, many plugin devs were doing such things and it was Highly flamed and discouraged by the Decal Devs including the most vocal one these days Drakier. i dont know why all of a sudden its ok to do such practice.


Who died and made these guys the Law on which plugin use is "ok" and what inst?? was there a secret meeting i missed ?? not to mention the programs they banned have more "legit" use than the one or two scripts wrote for it that arent. even Elgar knew better to not add things to his plugin that would make the end users more annoyed.


everyone knows these sort of tactics does NOT prevent anything it only pushes things behind the secen. plugins being released secretly to people, that have password stealing code in them. at least when things are out in the open people can ask here if the said plugin is safe to use.

MT_Gouru who wrote "sort it", his plugins won't work if LTx is active. But hey I can respect that because LTX can be used for UCMing, something he disagrees with.


SW and ACtools are used for alot more then just warbot(which i tried a couple years back and didn't like) or what eps wrote.

MT_Gouru isnt exactly someone i would call a "self repsecting dev" the guy loves to troll and get people all worked up over nothing, then sit back and laugh at it all. i give him this though he is good at what he loves to do =)

I didn't think he checked for other plugins, just requests as part of his EULA that you don't run any plugins capable of UCM'ing while using his plugins.
