If you use ACDC, please try disabling it. If you are not using ACDC, please correct My Documents\Asheron's Call\Launcher.ini to reflect acclient.exe instead of acdcclient.exe.

It's possible that for some reason or another ACDC can't find decal.

I closed ACDC and it didn't work.

I've tried reinstalling it and when I check the box that says "start decal" and login I get this.

Closing it won't change the launcher.ini setting. You'll need to reconfigure acdc or manually edit the file.

Also, the file is not in My Documents, but rather the AC folder itself.

So I reinstalled AC/Decal and followed the steps in the first page, installed AC/Decal in C:/Games, updated as admin, still won't appear IG.

Disable both of those and try it.

That's the one I had last and it worked. This is getting pretty frustrating.

Uninstall ACDC, uninstall Decal, run http://skunkworks.sourceforge.net/misc/CleanDecalReg.exe and then install Decal, DON'T install any plugins, try seeing if Decal shows up.


The fact that none of your .NET plugins are working is a pretty big factor to say you have something wrong with your windows installation. Have you done any windows updates recently?


Make sure you have updated all of your AC clients if you have more than one installed. This is the single most common factor for why Decal doesn't show up in game. Most people totally forget that they have more than one client and sometimes Decal is set to look at the older one that wasn't updated.


If you're still having problems after you do all of these steps, post a new export.
