Since Feb 2012 broke the portal bots I modified Tings so it can do Portal Bot duty.
I'm sure Portal Bot code will have some issues but I figured we needed to get something usable on line first.
Tings is expecting that PB( portal bot) will be able to use magic to restore mana. Bots will share ( for now) common
minimal buff profile. You can turn on/off and set max spell level via editing the .\PortalBot\PortalBotSpells.XML file.

I recommend using AC Quick Launch to handle client crashes. The use of AC Quick Launch's crash recover and heartbeat options should
keep bot IG and working. Besides sometime in near future ACQ will allow portal bot across multiple accounts.


Note: If your portal bot machine is limited in memory/speed, you can skip the installation of Firebird
and skip the part about firing up AC Companion.

1. To set up portal bot you will need to issue some commands IG from each toon that will be casting portal.
Example: I get IG on toon and its primary is tied to colo.
/pb primary,1,Colo,,45
repeat now for secondary
/pb primary,1,Atoll,,175


Now repeat for all toons on that account who will be doing portal bot duty.

2. Get your PB toons in location you want them and make sure they have wands/caster wielded.
3. Start PB plugin via
/pb ON


Use /PB in game and you will see.
/PB [on/off]
/PB list
Configure IG using below commands.
/pb location blahblah. i.e. /pb location Yaraq
/pb [PRIMARY/SECONDARY],ToonNumber,TieName,TieNameInfo,CastDirection
where PRIMARY/SECONDARY is which portal to cast
' ToonNumber is 1..10 which is number of spots down on pick a toon screen.
' TieName is name of portal that people will use to summon.
' TieNameInfo is any extra info you want to show when ppl do whereto command.
' CastDirection is 0..360 and is direction to cast the portal.
Example: /PB primary,1,Colo,blahblahcolo,45

More random facts:
If your notepad happy and careful the following files can be edited.
PortData.txt is where Tings stores portal tie information
PortalBotSpells.XML is what Tings using to buff portal bot.

You can minimize the client crashes by using only Tings plugin.(I made use of Tings auto-muling feature code and
i know for some people toon switching did not work well.)

The random bot sayings are currently not changeable.

I'm sure i've not covered everything but I hope it will get a few portal bots back on line.

Tings will rebuff using the highest skill level you can cast.
You can edit the PortalBotSpells.XML and change the max cast level allowed.
The current default will allow level 8 spells if toon can do it.
Course if you notice i'm not checking mana scarab counts. alas.

Ok... found a bug
It will let you add only 2 portals from IG and it ain't right still. doh.

So editing the PortalData.txt is current way to work until i kick out next release.

First value is always zero.

Oh if you leave CastDirection empty, toon will not turn but will cast.

AC Quick Launch has some new test code that works with Drakier's Dual client.
You have to start Dual first then AC Quick Launch.

In this mode ACQ's normal crash recover stuff is turned off.
But ACQ will allow you to launch multiple toons.
Two new buttons are visible. one with 'R' and one with 'C'

R will auto detect which dual client session has ended and switch ACQ to that toon so
you can hit the blue button to get back IG quick. I'm still debating if it should just
auto restart. This will not help for those crashes where you normal have to end task.
Course once you do end task( and guess correctly) you can use the R button to restart.


The C button is used if you wish to clear the memory of what sessions where launched.
Course shutting down and restarting ACQ works as well.

The Kill session button alas has not been implemented.

You have to wait a bit when your starting multiple accounts.
When you log in there are those mostly white screens followed by black.
Once you see the black you can start another account.

New version .393 is out.

Adding BotSayings.txt which you can edit with notepad.

Bot should stay IG better now.
You should be able to use IG commands to add/modify portal bot info.
The /pb list when pb is off will now work.

Since the portal bot uses magic and will need to recovery the mana.
Look under the Chef tab and set the below and until settings
for mana and stamina. also change the methods to magic.

I can't get Tings to automatically switch characters, it acknowledges that it needs to switch characters but doesnt log off and back on. If I manually switch them it does summon the portal.

It should at least return to the pick a toon screen.

I had only one report of this type of an issue and sometime later
they said it began working. Seems silly but see what happens
after you reboot the computer.

Restart didnt fix it.

Something we just noticed is, once it requests a different character it goes into magic mode and just sits there.

Edit: I am not using 2.9.6.5, could this be the issue?
