Ag, are you using VTank to loot/salvage, or Alinco?

Is there any way to keep your character backed into a corner?
I'm running Vtank on a UA character and using the defaults for arc, attack, etc. What happens with the UA animation is that when the creature you are fighting dies, you get pulled forward a bit. This causes my Vtank toon to get pulled all over the room. Fortunately he's not fighting anything where I absolutely rely on the shield and have to worry about getting hit in the back.
Controlling the fight of a UA toon requires a bit of finese. As a UA'er, you are swinging at full speed most of the time. This means that you need to monitor the fight and you have to break off combat as soon as you get the mob death message. I do this by hitting the turn left/right arrow key. This breaks off the attack. If you don't break off the attack, two things happen. The first is that you get pulled forward when the creature dies. The second thing is that the toon will continue to attack even though the creature just died, and do 2-3 fast swings at the corpse. This also pulls your toon forward a bit. If you don't pay attention and break off combat, sometime you'll have to back your character up to get back into a corner/wall position so his back isn't exposed.
So, any advice on settings to allow Vtank to be used by a UA toon in situations where you actually need to use a shield and stay tucked into a corner? Can I make him stay stuck to one spot and facing, or back up into the corner during combat?
Thanks.

the nav profile with one point can keep him near or on one spot. facing will be difficult

Hi, thanks for the reply.
I'm wondering how this would work though.
When does the toon navigate? After each kill, or only in idle mode?
Due to the nature of the UA animation and getting pulled forward by the creature death, and getting pulled forward while swinging at the corpse, you need to back up into the corner after each kill in order to protect your back. Otherwise, after 1 or 2 kills, you have creatures behind you attacking your back.
So, any idea how the nav works?
I've seen sword toons UCM/ACMing in EO with their back to the wall. Never stopped to watch the whole animation sequence to see if they get pulled forward or not, and how they get back into the corner. Guess I'll have to go find some and watch...

i believe after killing looting it will then 'continue' running it's navigation route IE back to the it's spot.

Yeah, it won't nav until it's "idle"....finished killing/looting/salvaging. So if the spawn is fast enough, you will never nav back to your corner.

Back to my rare looting question.....why does it work for some people and not others. Seems if it was a problem with Alinco, it either wouldn't work for anyone or would work for everyone.
Any thoughts VI?

It's an Alinco issue. Rares work 100% for me with a proper rule in VTClassic.

Could I make a feature request?
- An option to terminate combat as soon as the creature death message has been received, by turning left or right.
This would keep UA toons from getting pulled forward by the creatures death, and keep them from swinging 2-3 times at the corpse.
- An option to allow switching weapons without first going into non-combat mode.
