i am having an issue just getting the darn thing to run. i click run macro it starts then starts killing then stops and shuts off, i try and start it again and it just shuts right off again. i cant keep it running on my void mage.
also on a side note. like ring spells is it possible to have an option for the corruption to cast if 3 or more critters are in front of you? like a ring spell maybe have an option to set it for X number infront or around you to cast it. jsut a thought.
but what setting or what do i not have checked for it to work right?
version 0.3.1.60 is what i have.
Do you have any chat filters turned on? VTank needs to see all the magic chat, if i'm not mistaken.
all filters off...so nothing is filtered. so that is not it.
so i turned every plug i have off so i am only running vtank and that is it. i turn it on, it shots a few spells maybe 1 maybe it kills something then it just shuts off. no error nothing. on for an unknown amount of time then off and it wont let me turn it right back on either.

Open chat window 4, and do
/vt log spellcast on
/vt log ruleinfo on
That will tell you what it is trying to do.

VI,
Any chance VTank's target selection for melee/archers could be looked at? Basically when there's a huge mob of monsters it tries to select one in the middle and can't get to it because of all the other baddies in the way. It tries several times, which then results (usually) in me being completely surrounded and doing nothing for 3-6 seconds while it attempts to burrow into the mob and attack one particular baddie. This can have negative consequences for my life span.
Any chance it could just prioritize the closest target *way* above other criteria? If I select targets manually (with Combat off) using the apostrophe key it selects what I think VTank should select - the closest monster.
Also, any update on the buff buddy feature?

Lower your combat range.
Also, for melees, it can help to uncheck autotarget in AC's options.

V, I've created an account on the wiki as Mag-nus.
When you answer my question about the added monster attack options, I'll add the info to the wiki when my privileges are elevated.

WC = Weaking Curse
FC = Festering Curse
Cp = COrruption
Dc = Destructive Curse
Cs = Corrusion
i figured that out. I would like to ask for some thing about the mislaunch issue with the void. I have experianced where tank gets stuck in a loop when the spell mislaunches. it just keep trying to cast it over and over again. seems to me that a some kind of fall back option if spell x mislaunches 3 times it goes to next one.
also i have noticed if you have it set to be in peace mode while idle and run a route with a spell at the end like a precall it will get stuck fighting between the 2 of them and wont portal recall. might want to have some kind of check option on this as well.

I've tried both with little difference. VTank still wants to burrow into a crowd and attack one of the monsters behind the closest couple. If I press the apostrophe key to target with VTank off, it almost always selects the closest monster properly.

"Properly"? If you want it to blindly select the closest monster, set targetselectmethod to by range. This, however, is a bad strategy in many situations: you can easily end up killing one thing, spinning 180 degrees and killing something else, then spinning 180 degrees again, etc. Thus, the default behavior chooses by minimum required turn amongst nearby targets and when things are further away switches to by range.
As a melee, you should have your attack range set to a distance at which you can actually attack the monster, then use approach to get close to anything else.
