Instant Oatmeal

If I am somewhere that has a hot water dispenser and when I am camping and have hot water from a pot, I will just add that. Otherwise will nuke together with cold water.
It's not the greatest texture but generally if I'm eating it I'm in a hurry anyway, so it beats a cold bagel or poptart.

you could nuke the water and then add the oatmeal, that's how I did it as a kid. I have an electric cordless kettle now, and I freaking love it.

Milk is a must, it helps solidify the oatmeal if you've mixed the correct proportion of water to it.

This is what I do if I don't have hot water available. Microwaving them together is beyond nasty.
