I've never done this before so just scream things out at me if you think I've done something terribly wrong.

Kingston HyperX 12gb RAM http://www.amazon.com/dp/B0037TO5C0

I plan to install windows on the SSD and everything else on the Caviar Green HDD. I plan to SLI two GTX560 Twin Frozr II cards together. The only old components I intend to keep from my old rig are the NZXT Zero case, an Antec 650w power supply, a CD/DVD drive and a 250 gb hard drive.

looks good

about the case, I didn't read the review, but after building many computers, the most important factors for me are, room to work, and edges that are milled so you don't get scratched and cut when you inevitably bash your knuckles in the case. (This is why I always use Antec cases now, they're always reliable construction.)

Check out Newegg.com might have better prices than Amazon

i'm no expert but are you sure that's enough power supply to run two of those 560s?

You may run into trouble with a 650 running an i7 SLI rig, would give it a try though, if you start having problems you'll know what it is

this

650w isn't enough to run that video card x2 under stress IMO. I'm sure it WILL run it, but do you want to risk it every time you're stressing the computer?

another thing, make sure you've got enough 12v rails on it...

I didn't look at the case much (other than to think it is ugly...but that's your choice, not mine)...but you might want to look into getting one that has a door on either side. Mine opens up on each side, so I was able to install the mobo and all the parts outside of the case, and just stick the door back on and lock it in. makes cleaning it easier too (look for metal handles or sturdy ones anyways...mine messed up and the handle popped off, so I have to use a screwdriver to open than side up in place of the handle lol).

I think your PSU is going to be a bit too small for the load.

Most of the games I bought would not run in sli, wound up turning one card off most of the time.

Make sure the games you really want to play work with sli, otherwise, you're just wasting money.

Would an 850w PSU be sufficient?

I'd consider not getting a Caviar Green.

They run at 5600, not 7200. So you will experience a bit more lag time in loading, especially if you're only putting Windows on the SSD.
