Way of Kings is one of the best fantasy books I've read in a long while. I don't normally start series with only 1 book out so far. but I just couldn't wait.

I've only read Warbreaker so far but I enjoyed it quite a bit and look forward to reading his other books as well.

and when he removes that #4 from the book listings, i will concede that the mistborn series is a trilogy. until then, however, it is not.
The author himself calls it a trilogy and you won't accept that.

currently on book 2 about 6 chapters in....so far I havn't really gotten into it.
but book 1 was a page turner...couldn't set it down.
Not 100% sold on his magic system, but it's got it's high points. I like the idea of the story centered around thieves and assassins rather than the A typical general+army+war.
So far it's been worth the money

Dunes, you might enjoy David Chandler's "The Ancient Blades," trilogy. It's got magic and fantasy stuff, but it centers around a thief.
