My wife graduated HS at 17 and I've known MANY people over the years that graduated at age 16, though most turned 17 after the school year ended (before the end of the calendar year).

They showed the weapon used this morning and played some of the 911 tapes. That pellet gun certainly looked very real, similar to a Springfield XD, scary real!
The father also spoke out, I will never claim to know the horror of losing a child and I am sure the guy is under some serious denial and stress right now but he came off like a flipping jackass. Crying about why the cops had to shoot him so many times or some crap like that, my son that I do not have anymore. 
Your idiot son took a weapon into the principal's office stating he was not afraid to die and then pull the gun on cops. He endangered and scared the living sh%$ out of teachers, students, and parents alike. You do not have your son anymore because he was an epic moron!
