people in this country spend money on things that aren't really necessary and bitch they aren't rich compare to the rest of the world. how many diner out do you have to have? how many trips do you have to take? how many new clothes each year etc... alot of these things are just wasteful life style.

if they were living like people where living back in the 50's americans would still be better off even adjusted for inflation.

If you can't live a good life at $34,000 a year after taxes, you need to take some self management courses.

Again, the article is misleading. (although I don't disagree with your statement)

34,000/year for a family of 4. Including the kids making money is what the article is talking about.

That's two $68,000 parent incomes. They make is sound lower than it really is. And it is definately not the norm in North America.
