ok.. sorta confused here.. regardless of your thoughts on if they should have even been in the game.. they won, and not by a small margin. sure it was a lot of field goals, and yes they lost (to the same team) earlier in the season, but it was a close low score game. OSU barely won their game, in overtime, to the #4 (which i dont think anyone was disputing really).
i dont really care about any of the teams involved, and i dislike the bcs system as much as anyone here.. but it seems like theres a lot of hate going around for a school/team that doesn't really deserve it imo.

I dont have anything against Alabama, they just didnt deserve to be in this game. Its not their fault, its the crappy system thats in place and the really stupid way they pick teams to go to a championship game. We see year after year what a farce this whole thing is and they refuse to fix it, its all a sham.

Ah okay. well.. part of the issue is.. why should they bother to fix it, when ppl still watch, ppl still pay, and ppl still follow it rabidly anyway. as far as they are concerned everything is working as intended. if ppl were really sick of it and actually DID something about it (voting with their wallets), then maybe something would change.

at least the Tide won the game right and they took LSU out behind the woodshed and laid the lumber to them.

When it was go time for OSU with 2 weeks left in the season and a shoe-in for the BCS championship game, what did they do? They lose to Iowa State, a six loss team. They laid an egg in crunch time.

bcs computer rankings still held OSU over the Tide at the end of the season, it was the polls that pushed the Tide into the national championship game.
no sports should have the chance to play in the championship game based on popular vote.
