Her actions of standing in that specific spot were what caused the injuries, I think someone should sue her for getting in the way of the flying torso.

Now stop and consider your answer if the woman had a baby there and her baby was killed by flying body parts. Now waht do you say. Let's take it a step farther....someone is drinking coffee and it knocks the McDonald's coffee over spilling onto their lap. Now what?

It is pretty gnarly... but it does make sense...
It makes sense to hold accountable a dead teenager for making a mistake that led to the dumb luck of a fucking body part causing damage to some someone else?
HOW DOES THIS MAKE SENSE!?
It makes sense because his "negligent" actions directly lead to her injuries.
You left out a key word.

I don't think she's entitled to any "compensation" but I do think that if the family had personal liability insurance, she should be entitled to have her medical expenses covered.

If the child has not learned respect for others by that age, I'd say the parents had something to do with that. I'm with the plantiff.

A drunk driver hits you head on and dies in the process you should be able to sue their estate. I don't see how this is any different. The individual did something stupid and someone was injured as a result. Whether it killed the individual or not the injured party has every right to pursue compensation.

Let's play this scenario out. Man jumps off building and lands on someone who happened to be walking by. Jumper dies... who pays for the injuries and trauma the victim suffered?
