That state sponsored racism should not happen.
ie- sit at the back of the bus
I don't care what regular people want to do because I think racists are useless assholes that have low IQ's but still have a right to be racist if they so choose, however the Government has no business being racist in any way, shape or form.
Martin Luther King helped the United States with banishing most of the institutional racism, though I think a lot still exists.

Mangler had an accident on the way home from the liquor store. He was run off the road and crashed into a woman's clinic. It was one giant Pabst smear.

All people have come from a society that was used as slaves. Serfdom was a form of slavery and I know I am a descended from serfs. It's just that we're celebrating one of the most recent. And no one living in this country was ever a slave. When you go down south you see serious racism still exists. And that is why we need to keep things out there in front, to battle that. All I'm saying is that it would be nice if the racism no longer existed and we could let things go.
And as for the War Memorial, that's to honor those who died, not the cause of the war. Apples/oranges.
I'm sorry your ancestors had to serve my ancestors, but I fail to see what that has to do with ME and YOU.

It would be nice, but just 150 years ago we had slaves in this country based solely upon their skin color. The wounds haven't quite healed yet.
and today, their descendants are not starving to death in somalia, are not being raped as a matter of course, most likely do not have aids, are not having aids babies, are not dying from malaria or dysentery or ebola, etc.. i mean i could go on and on. they need to get the fk over themselves.

So let's keep talking about it every year to keep it fresh in everyone's heads. There's no way we should just let it fade into oblivion huh?

and nearly all of them are something like 20% or more white. I don't remember the exact number, but blacks in the US are nothing like Africans, not only have the tribes mixed for centuries, but they mixed with the slave owners too.

Because the only way to get rid of racism is to stop seeing the color, and how are we supposed to do that if race is always brought up? The very thing that makes people proud of their heritage is the thing that perpetuates the problem.
