Anyway, those of you who are applying King's teachings to a particular race are all doing it wrong. King just wanted all people of any race to be the same.
He did. But at the time, it was black people who were getting a raw deal. He wasn't marching for the grave injustices white people had to endure, such as being able to walk into the front of a restaurant and sit down and eat inside.

Go back another hundred years and you will find the Irish getting the same treatment. The only difference is they could overcome it within a generation.

All people have come from a society that was used as slaves. Serfdom was a form of slavery and I know I am a descended from serfs. It's just that we're celebrating one of the most recent. And no one living in this country was ever a slave. When you go down south you see serious racism still exists. And that is why we need to keep things out there in front, to battle that. All I'm saying is that it would be nice if the racism no longer existed and we could let things go.
And as for the War Memorial, that's to honor those who died, not the cause of the war. Apples/oranges.
war holidays and mlk are apples and oranges but european serfdom is equivalent to american slavery. uhhhhhlol

Did I say they were slaves or did I say they were getting the same treatment. That was in response to the treatment you say blacks for well after slavery. Are you now trying to say anything after slavery doesn't matter?
