It's not about right or wrong when it's someone who is alone with your food before you eat it.
Tip the new guy. Trust.

After having a couple screw-ups from Pizza Hut, I've started checking the order at the door. The last time they screwed up, I called the local # (that services several stores in the area) to let them know about the screw-up as yelling at the driver won't do any good. They offered to make me a new pizza and drive it out for free and when I inquired about a tip for the new driver they said the store would have to figure out the tip stuff and for me to not worry about it.
