The US is an oil exporter now.
Obama said no to big oil, so now calls go out to... "RELEASE THE KRACKEN!" or at least a few more Republican big oil controlled Presidential Candidate hand puppets.
IIRC the US is still an oil importer, but we do export a significant amount of gasoline and gas products.
