its everybody's right to pay as little in taxes as legally owed, I don't understand the big deal.

of course if somebody wants to write the IRS a fat check out of the goodness of their heart the IRS isn't gonna turn its nose up to the money.

turned my cynical penis into a happy vagina
Then after an Oatmeal Cranberry and Double Chocolate,
it made my new vagina spontaneously sing the Trolololo Song in an elevator.

legally That just might be part of the hangup. There's legal and then there is frowned upon. Especially when it's a legal something that us peons can't take advantage off.

Npr just said Newt is up 4 to 6 pints now.

I don't really understand what purpose it serves? We already know they are rich. We already know they have tax advisors, lawyers, investment advisors, etc. who get them the most breaks. Now if a candidate claimed to do/believe in something like not claiming charitable donations then I think it would be acceptable to expect him or her to show their tax return as proof that they live by what they preach.

But I don't see what showing off a return is going to prove in most cases?

It is a democratic strategy mostly. They know that people are dumb and may not vote for somebody because they are "rich".

I survived to the end and got nothing out of it, but hey.
