I know they dont want to, it makes them look horrible. It'd practically kill Pauls campaign. I'm not really sure I see the purpose in it aside from sensationalism. Everyone already knows they are all filthy rich and try to skimp on taxes as much as possible. Everyone also knows they insider trade to make tons of money. Seems stupid.
If they want to disclose, sure.
However, I don't care about your taxes. What people pay in taxes is totally irrelevant to the bigger picture.
The only thing I want to know is that the guy isn't cheating on his taxes in some way and that can be done by a private auditor who can release a public statement.

I don't care about it. Shouldn't be a legal requirement, but if other people volunteer I think it's not surprising that the media will harp on all the others for not also volunteering. It's what they do.

Id be more inclined to vote for the guy/gal who payed the least % in taxes no matter how much they earned.

Don't really care either way but if I had to choose no, I don't think they should have to. No real purpose to it.

Mitt must be very uncomfortable about his tax havens or he wouldn't be so squeamish about releasing his tax returns.
