I loved the Knights of the old republic games.

I couldn't get into this one.

it just felt like I was playing WoW with a star wars skin. Maybe it was the sage class but the storyline was uninteresting and I didn't care about the characters at all. Wish I could have had a different companion at the start,

Sage is honestly one of the worst story lines, the best by far that I have played is the Imperial Agent. The voice acting, quests and everything are on a completely different level to the sage. Not to mention regular quests seem to be better on the Imperial side as so many Republic "bonus" quests (the ones with stages not the one and done version) follow this:

Stage 1 Kill X number of Mobs

Stage 2 Kill X + more of the exact same mobs you just did

Stage 3 Destroy or loot something from crates

Stage 4 Kill elite

At least for the imperial side stage 2 has always been different, it's almost annoying when you finish stage 1 to kill 20 of X and then stage 2 comes up and it's 40 of the exact same mobs. I haven't run in to this at all on the Imperial Side.

Then you haven't been looking very hard.

Actually, most of the Imperial side ones are different for Stage 1 and Stage 2. Republic, almost every single one is killing a ton of duders.
