They have worked so hard to keep US all in line that fine, maybe we should all be treated the same. They can submit or get detained like the rest of us. He wasn't the first politician to be moved aside and likely won't be the last. Like I sarcastically said above, heaven forbid a politician is treated like the people they represent.

I don't see this as making any kind of point except that he failed to submit to authority. In case he isn't aware, people don't like to joke around in airports these days. Someone on the road as often as he and his family is should remember that unless they're used to be catered to and travelling privately, in which case maybe he needed a reality check.

Paul, who has previously called for the TSA to be abolished, told NBC News that passengers should not be subjected to pat-downs.


If Rand Paul supported the actions of the TSA before this incident, I agree he should shut up and go through with the screening like everyone else. However, I feel that it's fair for him to refuse a search on principle alone. It is effing ridiculous that him or any Senators should be searched, just as it's equally ridiculous that the TSA can do what they can to normal American citizens.
