LOL Rand Paul Getting Cavity Searched by TSA

i have no choice but to go through this every time i fly. because of my leg, i can't do the full body screening that i refuse to do anyway. so i go through the metal detector and get whisked away to have a nice long groping session. then i get wiped down with pads to ensure i don't have any bomb trace elements on me. this whole process takes about 30 minutes. because i'm an amputee. they've actually tried to get me to let them scan my crutches through and have me hop through the gate before. i was like uh, no? (this was when i had a broken leg.) granted, i wasn't wearing shorts at the time because i was young and still self conscious about my prosthesis but the walking cast i had on was one of the removable brace ones and it had metal all over it. visibly. when i said no and then pointed to the cast and asked what part of removing some metal but not all of the metal did they think was a good idea, i was detained. the person suggested i take the cast off. then hop through. this was in 97.

Prolly a terrorist.
Ive heard of movie stars bypassing security completely because some TSA agent recognized them. But apparently if you're a SENATOR you're SOL.

That isn't his point. The point is no one should be subjected to the full-body pat-downs the TSA does. He's one of the few people who can refuse it and make a stink about it just to get the point across, without being arrested at the same time.
Agreed, someone needs to take a stand, and it is helpful if it's someone who will be noticed.

It is illegal to detain or arrest a senator or congressman on their way to a hearing. Unless it's for treason etc. I don't know if he ended up making it on time, but that is illegal to hold him. Not that it matters to anyone here, no one gives two craps about the constitution here.
They should just turn people away if they refuse, not hold them.

Didnt he detain himself by not cooperating? Not that Rand Paul gives a crap about the constitution either if he takes after his father.
