LOL. No, she was wanting to make a point to them. You're the one that thinks babies are a form of punishment... she knows it would be an unpleasant experience for someone especially if they are not ready to have children....so in essence it would be a form of punishment for people who have chosen the responsible route.

why would you insist about talking about anything besides the definition of a human life with the right to live?
lets start with the definition of death? is it when you stop breathing? guess not, we can breath for people. is it when your heart stops? no, you can come back from that too. is it when part of your brain dies? no, brain damaged people are people too. is it total brain death? i guess you could remove the entire cerebral cortex and still breathe and have a heartbeat and a metabolism but you wouldn't be doing anything or moving. oh right, just knowing when someone dead is pretty murky business.
but hold on, knowing when something counts as a person is easy! duh murderers.

Just like most people don't know how often women miscarry, especially on their first pregnancy.
Of course, I know one girl that threw a party the day after she miscarried in order to celebrate not having her life ruined. That was a bit weird.

I'm fairly certain my friend picked me to tell about it because I'm openly pro-choice, both of us were already parents once, and she couldn't handle another one while still in high school. She didn't tell others because everyone we knew were mothers, some more than once, and a group of new mothers are not ones you want to start discussing abortion with.

Yes, the first ones I knew of were in high school. I went to an all-girls Catholic High School and if you were pregnant you could not attend. Only one girl that I knew of was allowed to be tutored in the convent and had a full-term pregnancy.
