children tried to bully me in school when i was in a wheelchair or on crutches and they quickly learned how lethal both of those are as weapons.

Yes they are and I took special joy in walking up to a bullies face to get inbetween him and whoever he was tormenting. The look on their face every time I did it in a new school was classic. And in my 12 years I went to 7 different schools.

Talks are ongoing for this, but the major hangup seems to be the level of cuddling required afterward.

I'm surprised an able bodied person didn't jump in as soon as it started and deck the mentally handicapped person.

a bully tried some s*** on me, 5 mins later he was bleeding from the ears
and i took his lunch box, i was 8 yrs old
bullies are just big goofs that are shocked when someone stands up to them

dude one time my "best friend" was at my house after school, we were alone of course. she kept trying to kick my crutches out from under me to trip me every time i lifted them up. so i turned around and nailed her in the shin at full force with the bottom metal rod. broke that little bitch's leg. she'd been doing it to me for over an hour and repeated attempts to get her to stop peacefully did not work. her parents made her apologize to me.

lol this world makes me sick. kids will be kids they will bully its in human nature, adults bully all the time why is it any different? deal with it. people in the public eye get slammed on all the time do they get to sue the govt for not stopping people sending hatemail?
get the kids on slander if they have a case for that. i dont tolerate for lies or illegal behavior. proper action is slap kids who broke the law (egging,slander if applicable, if things said were all true and just hurtful then deal with it imo) under 18 with some misdemenor that they can get expunged soon. stick them in a juvinile center for a while to punish them for breaking the law (not bullying).
kid who got bullied should have same rights as anyone else but punish what should be punished.
imo its stupid that we tell kids hey dont bully, yet check out any big time celebs that abandon their fan base (lebron) guess he should sue Stern for 135k because he got bullied by using a perfectly legal free agency move. that kind of bullying is acceptable its even encouraged as some places gave discounts for bringing in and trashing/burning former lebron gear.
yet we are going to try to hold kids (whom we say cant determine anything on their own unless they are 18. well except abortions) to a higher standard when all they see on TV is accepted bullying.
teach them that bullying is fine as long as one does it in a legal to defend in court kind of way. teach them that breaking the law to bully is wrong.
