It made me /facepalm to read that her mother "couldn't get her to eat anything else". But she's been "addicted" to nuggets since she was two.
GUESS WHAT. YOU REFUSE THEM NUGGETS AND EVENTUALLY THEY GET HUNGRY ENOUGH TO EAT OTHER THINGS. I mean FFS it's not like the two year old could toddle by herself down to the local Mickey D's and just pay for her own nuggets, and then keep doing it for over a decade while her mother helplessly couldn't get her to eat anything else.
And if she truly won't anything else, that's when you call the damn doctor and explain the effing situation and get some medical help for your toddler who won't eat!!!!

Oh gee, a kid became addicted to grease, salt, sugar and fat? I've never heard of those things being addicting before...Someone should look into this matter immediately.

I learned a few things from my dad even though he was pretty much an ass. I was only 5 but I remember a dog we got. I guess it's food was changed and it wasn't happy with the new food. My dad said, "He'll eat it when he gets hungry." And guess what? In 2 days the dog got hungry and started eating the new food.

Wow, really? If you give my dogs food they aren't used to, they just throw up and diarrhea all over the house.

Mine are the same way. The rule in our house has always been "must try one bite of a new food" (or even a familiar food cooked a new way). If you don't like it you don't have to eat more of it, but I'm also not a short order cook. What's for dinner is what's for dinner. Based on that one rule they have always been extremely open to trying new things, and will even occasionally re-try things they don't like because "sometimes your taste buds change" (as my 10 year old puts it).
So I have a 13 year old who loves steak and begs for salads, a 10 year old who digs sushi and all kinds of seafood (in a family where the rest of us mostly hate all forms of seafood) and a 6 year old who eats raw onion slices like french fries and sneaks raw spinach and carrots when she thinks I'm not paying attention. And of course they all adore bacon

haha. i've been calling all chains peasant food since i was like 5. my great aunt was from england and was snarky as fk with that kind of stuff.
