a cop has more right to the title than a basketball player. or any athlete for that matter.
making millions putting a ball through a hoop < risking your life in the ghetto of chicago.
Not that I agree that every cop is a hero, they have more claim to the title than an athlete. lol.

Just like an athlete is not a hero to you, a cop is not a hero to me. He's just another guy with a job.

We got together and decided this around the Dr. J era. Society felt bad about not making Bill Russell a hero until long after he finished playing.
