You are going to ask $2700-2800 rent...I bought a pretty expensive home in Oregon in 2008 and I pay less than that for my mortgage, including property taxes and insurance. Don't most people realize they could do the same thing, or is housing truly that expensive in NYC??
Oh, and ... just how big is this place and how big are the bedrooms?

For NYC that's a damn good price, actually. Yes housing is crazy expensive there. I don't know what the neighborhood is but it actually doesn't matter- anywhere is disgustingly expensive.
The apartment looks very nice, though.

The entirety of my last apartment in NYC was about the size of that bathroom, and I had to share it with cockroaches and mice, plus the accumulated stench, stains, and wear and tear of the last couple of people who rented it.
I paid 1200 bucks a month for it and felt damn lucky to find it because it had two windows and was in a "decent neighborhood". Down in Noho.
