Our new oil guy told us about this company that works with the electric comapany who will audit your house and give you coupons to insulate, change the furnace, and gives no interest 7 year loans if you need it for any of the work they do.
They came in this morning.
They're doing an air tight spray in the attic where they pull up the old insulation, spray foam 2 inches and then put the old insulation back for free.. 1k value.. also 2 grand off if I add another 7 inches to the attic and spray in the garage which is under the house. Also gave me an 800 coupon towards a new furnace (which is gonna be 10k). The electric company has decided it's cheaper to give people incentives to upgrade their home's efficiency than it is to build another plant. So anyway all that stuff is gonna just set me back 1500. Was going to do the attic anyway.. the insulation alone would have cost me that doing it myself.. the garage is gravy.
