They didnt really get a anything since I was late for work at that point.
Wash knew he effed up though, he had the "I didnt mean it, I didnt do anything, It wasnt my fault" look on his face as soon as he saw me.

Those look expensive, and Tessa cant cook. We'll probably just go to Sears. We have no need for anything fancy really. I would like to get a glass top though if we can find one for the right price.

That is the one I have, and have not had any problems with it at all. It cooks very evenly, also comes in white, and black/stainless (but it's more expensive).
It has a child lock that is set on the back of the stove, and all the dials are on the back so it's as child safe as a stove can be.
Edit: I think I got it through Home Depot.
Also, glass top stoves make a great surface for rolling out dough for pie crusts or cookies too.

I think you are being too pessimistic. How about, "  ay we get to buy a new stove!" or, "I hope Tessa loves the stove I am getting her for Valentines day!" (Wait. No. Don't do that) and "Luckily I don't have to walk the dogs tonight because they got in all their exercise this morning!" And, "Wow this chicken broth is great! It's lower in carbs than the kind that tries to jam pack all those noodles in it."

I can see the bright side in most anything, but I would not try to pass off chicken broth as better than chicken noodle... that's just going TOO FAR!

my furnace is acting up too, I had to turn the furnace fan on manual and then sometimes it decides it's not going to heat up, so I have to flip the breaker to kick it into gear.

my furnace was given 1 year to live, possibly 2 but no more. (also the water tank is a pos)
Our new oil guy told us about this company that works with the electric comapany who will audit your house and give you coupons to insulate, change the furnace, and gives no interest 7 year loans if you need it for any of the work they do.
They came in this morning.
They're doing an air tight spray in the attic where they pull up the old insulation, spray foam 2 inches and then put the old insulation back for free.. 1k value.. also 2 grand off if I add another 7 inches to the attic and spray in the garage which is under the house. Also gave me an 800 coupon towards a new furnace (which is gonna be 10k). The electric company has decided it's cheaper to give people incentives to upgrade their home's efficiency than it is to build another plant. So anyway all that stuff is gonna just set me back 1500. Was going to do the attic anyway.. the insulation alone would have cost me that doing it myself.. the garage is gravy.
