Got 2 Widsom Teeth Removed Yesterday...

Was... an interesting experience. Thankfully they're letting me do a soft diet instead of a pure liquid one. I'm still a bit afraid to chew things, even stuff like pasta... so eating is going slowly.
Got the top two removed, going to have the bottom two removed in a year or two; gotta wait for them to come out of the gums a bit more.
Unfortunately for me I have a bit of a fear of dentists, and that day forgot my pre-meds... originally thought it was just a filling, so wasn't too concerned... but when talking with the dentist we decided removing them was a much better idea.
The process wasn't as bad as I expected, but wow... that was the first time I had felt fear in a long time. even if it was over a rather stupid thing.
Wee, go in next thursday to have the stitches removed...

I was nervous about it for months, heard lots of horror stories, finally made an appt to get it over with. Got numbed up, dentist had it out in under 10 seconds. Bled for a half hour, was (carefully) eating a burger the next day.

Got all 4 yanked in one sitting (plus one damaged molar). Doc had them out in about 10 minutes. Ate soup and applesauce for 2 days then was eating regular stuff by the 3rd.
Not a fun experience, but finally having no cold sensitivity after years was worth it.

What's the thinking on doing both sides at once? When they do one side at a time (top/bottom) at least you can eat on the other side and not have to fast.

I heard horror stories before getting mine pulled as well. But there was no pain at all during, or after, even after the freezing was gone. But he did not pull them out in 1 piece. he broke them up first. Not sure if that's how its always done or not.

They knocked me out before removing mine (all four at once). Thank goodness. I just had to do soft foods for a bit- no liquid diet or anything silly.

He took mine out in one solid piece... They did the top two because the bottom two would require a dental surgeon to remove as they're still pretty much level with the gum line. I can still chew; I just want to be careful of how far back the food goes for the moment.

I rented a movie about Genghis Khan and took all 20 of my hydrocodones within the first two days of getting my wisdom teeth removed. Thanks to that trippy experience I'll never forget that movie about Genghis Khan.
