I love Alton Brown although my only complaint of him could be that he's a bit to anal sometimes about getting a specific "thing" for a recipe. He can be a cooking purist sometimes. Like using the "right" kind of pan to cook something in, he will go on a 30 second spiel about whatever topic he was talking about. Well thats how he was on Good Eats. It hink in the other shows he's done like Iron Chef he's had to mellow out a bit.

well good eats was also kind of an instructional show. why you do this, and not that.
why this works, but that fails.
what a good items is vs that other one.

yeah but like I dunno I just think he went overboard...it felt like he would almost tell you what brand of tinfoil to use to cover your turkey before you baked it or something and tell you exactly why. lol It just came off as alittle anal and ADHD.
