It's always the televangelist/mega church denominations.
I guess these charismatic preachers (salesmen) are doing a good job coaxing people who are down on their luck to depart with some money and become "born-again".
The pope can only perform so many miracles, while there is a whole army of televangelists.
my Best friend from growing up went from non-religious to Catholic... but she couldn't officially join the church because she'd been divorced and didn't want to put her daughter through what it would entail to get an annulment.

I have an old friend who "found god" persay when she was living in Texas. She is by far and away the most uber christian person I know. It's literally insane how overtly religious she has become; I can't even associate with her anymore :/
