There are 16 families on our block. 12 of us are all friendly with each other - our dogs and kids play together, we all help each other with home improvement projects, share tools and trucks, frequently get together for backyard barbecues, pool parties, and an annual block party. We really enjoy being here because of the close-knit community.
God that sounds like a F'in nightmare, its like something straight out of a sitcom. Next you'll have neighbors walking into your house without even a knock.
You're wrong, they knock/ring the bell before letting themselves in. I've exchanged house keys with 3 neighbors for emergencies and pet care (i.e. if one of us is going to be home late we call a neighbor to feed/walk the pets)
At least they have manners. I knew a girl once who would just barge right into our home unannounced. Scared the isht out of dogs and woke sleeping people on more than one occasion.

Most of it has been sitting in an open carport for the better part of a year, where they would sit on folding chairs smoking cigarettes, I wouldn't touch any of that crap if somehow it hasn't fallen completely apart already, unless by "going through" you meant "dousing in gasoline and burning".

Just stopping in to say hai to my former neighbor. Oh my kids say hai too. They miss your lawn. And pooping in your gas tank. You probably didn't know about that they did it at night.

i have a judge and a police chief living on my block, things are very quiet, i'm the only gangster on our street
my daughter played in their kid's t-ball league, they have no idea who i am

The sad thing is there's one active duty officer and 2 retired officers (one of whom is now working in private security) living on my block. They were the ones who originally told me that there was an "ongoing investigation" when I asked them about the lack of police response to neighborhood complaints. I suppose credit fraud arrests are better for the departments than domestic disturbances.

maybe its just about them knowing where they are and not arousing suspicion.
