Yeah, from day 1 they lacked even basic human courtesy:
They let their dogs run free, crapping on everyone's yard. When confronted, they did apologize, saying they didn't have a fenced in backyard. They would clean up if you asked them, but never on their own. They eventually fenced in the backyard, but did most of the work (with noisy gas augers to dig the post holes) after 10PM when the guy was back from work. (the first of my complaints against the noise ordinances).
The kids would cut across my lawn instead of using the sidewalk (again, not stopping until I repeatedly complained to the parents
Baby daddy would park his P.O.S. pickup in front of my house, leaking all sorts of fluids in the street, and making a ton of noise trying to turn it over each morning, in front of my 3-yr-old son's window. (2nd complaint)
The previously mentioned heaps of crap in the carport. At least I had no windows on that side of my house, so it was more of an eyesore to the neighbors across the street than it was for me.
So... you complained about him. Then complained about how he fixed the problem?
Then you complained about kids walking through your yard "Get off ma lawn!"
Sounds like there were two asshole neighbors in the area.

Sounds like there were two asshole neighbors in the area.
There's 100 other things they do on top of that, many of which I (or other neighbors) have spoken to them about where they haven'tchanged their behavior (i.e. the guy finally got a working car and went back to parking that one in front of my house - as if the noise was my only objection on the truck). Every other person on the block knows how to be civil and respect each other without a lesson from me on every facet of life.

Man, I never speak to my neighbors. I prefer it that way. Keep your nose out of my business. We're not friendly and we aren't neighborly. If we're doing something illegal that's our business and you best keep out of it.

Glad my neighbors are all pretty cool. The one hoarder family down the way is sorta creepy....but they don't let their kids out of the yard so not my problem.
