Some comics are not meant to be main stream or PG/PG-13. No different than the abomination that was Spawn (the movie). Make it true to the comics and make it freaking rated R (or fail).

My dad used to beat me when I was a child. When I was middle school, I fought back for the first time.
I got him right in the mouth and broke a few teeth. He went to the garage and came back with a hammer. My mom cried and tried to calm him down, but he just kicked her in the stomach repeatedly (she was pregnant with what would have been my younger brother). I tried to stop him, but I was too young to overpower him. He held me down and took the hammer to my face, breaking my jaw and destroying most of the teeth on the left-hand side of my face. I thought I was going to die. He then went back into the garage and shot himself, but I didn't know that at the time.
I just lay there on the floor with a pool of blood forming around my head, hearing my mom sob. Every day when I put on my partial dentures I'm reminded of that day.
So, yeah. I would have much rather have watched Ghost Rider 2 than see my dad kick my mom to the point of miscarriage right before he smashed my face in with a hammer.
