I was abused as a child by an over bearing father, until my mom divorced him when I was 13.... happy and sad at the time.
my worst beating? yeah, I remember it
I am 45 and he is 66, if I am standing beside him and he raises his hand, I still duck.

Well, never got a 'beatdown'. Got spanked, went through a phase of temper-tantruming in the supermarket when I didn't get what i wanted. Dad had a way of pinching the back of my neck and leading me out to the car. I outgrew that real fast. Other than that....no beatings to report.
My 2 older brothers though. Seems dad got tempered out by the time i cam around.
Mom was a pushover

I haven't even seen 1 on tv, I sure wouldn't waste $$$ on 2.

We had one rule growing up. Don't wake my mom up from a nap. Well, I got tired of waiting so I went in and quietly asked her whatever question I had... She lifted her hand up to backhand me and I jumped back and she hit the door! Ruuuuuun!!!!!
