Cute puppies grow up into goofy, still cute doggies.
Cute piggies grow up into fat slobs that roll around in their filth and get wrinkly, and ugly, and have bacon in them.
Yes, so do dogs, but we feed them the bacon, and...they're dogs.
I know you are trying to be funny, but if you enjoy pets at all, I guarantee you that you would love a pig and/or a chicken (both popular meats) if you raised one.
Both are some of the smartest most interesting animals around.

Dogs haven't been bred for thousands of years as feed stock. They've been bred for other uses.

Bacon comes from pigs.

I wouldn't mind eating a dog. Or course I wouldn't eat my own dog. That is stupid. I wouldn't eat a fish out of my fish tank and they don't care about anything. Of course if I raised a pig from birth I wouldn't eat it. That's why I have no personal relationships with the pigs I eat.
And using the smallest, cutest dog is stupid also. Who would want to eat that? Barely any good meat on it.

I have to admit, it would be pretty awesome to see a pig used as a bird dog...big fat pink thing running around pointing out birds...lol.
don't think they would be very good retrievers either (not being great swimmers and all)...and they would be terrible for uses like cop dogs are.

That's not totally true, fish have lots of emotions that they care about, including companionship, playing around, etc.
I'm not sure if most develop deep one-to-one bonds, but I know they do on some level. They selectively spend more time around specific fish. I had two fish who were sick for 2 months, but still very active, but one died the day after the other. I think the stress after losing a friend made the 2nd fish give up.

Yes, just one layer of the mind boggling double standards around animal rights issues.
Fight dogs and go to jail. Treat poultry in the most appalling ways possible...eat lunch.
The whole world is f***ed in the head when it comes to animal rights and 99% of the population is too engrained in their ways to see any truth in the matter.
I just laugh every time people tell me they are animal lovers as they are eating their hamburger/wings/etc.
possibly the dumbest thing i've seen posted on this forum all year.
