I can't help it that most zombie movies suck. The aforementioned Night of the Living Dead is the one I liked most. Then there was 28 days later which was pretty good. Then there's the Evil Dead series which I don't consider zombie movies at all.
Besides that, name a zombie movie that was good? They all have crappy characters nobody cares about and the only reason anybody watches them is for exaggerated gore and carnage and cheap scares.
I'm glad you mentioned 28 Days Later, I liked that one. I was a fan of Dawn of the Dead, I thought they did some things really well, but being atmospheric is a far cry from making you think, so in that respect it wasn't all that good.
I saw one episode of The Walking Dead and nothing really happened. I felt like taking a nap, and I never get sleepy with a television on. It was THAT slow. Maybe I just saw a bad episode...

Then it wasn't the pilot episode. That sucked me in hard.  
I wasn't all that thrilled of the first half of season 2...but I really enjoyed the mid-season finale, and like where the first 2 episodes of the second half are going.
Try it again from the start...and make your way through 2.0
2.5 is looking really interesting.

i only watched it once because a hot chick made me.
when the guy ran into town like a retard and inexplicably got himself surrounded by zombies i knew it was bad. like how dumb do you have to be to get surrounded by slow zombies while you're on a horse or something? he was on a horse right?

How can they not find guns in the redneck South? He had to ride a horse into the middle of the zombie hoard to get a couple guns? There should be an arsenal in every other house in Georgia. And why not wear body armor or at least football gear to protect against bites? And how about night vision scopes? Every good camera shop has those. So many holes.
