why would they build an airfield...
are you SURE it's an airfield? or is it just what you think it might be?
It would be awesome if the golden airplanes and the ancient airfields where just that, and that it was proof of aliens coming to earth. But honestly it is more likely that our ancestors built them for reasons that was lost to time. To say aliens did it I think does a disservice to humanity, to our ingenuity and our ability to be given a task and figure out ways to do something.

These people had very strong beliefs in gods.
They also were not stupid.
With enough time anybody could build an object large enough to be seen from the sky, in honor of those gods,
without ever seeing it by using drawings and measuring.
Do aliens exist? Maybe.
Have they visited earth? Maybe.
Does drawings and sculptures prove it either way? Nope.
