It surprises me that I have no urge to have any children, ever. That's kinda abnormal...

How despite living in the same house, eating the same food, watching the same tv shows, reading the same books, going to the same schools with the same teachers and even wearing the same clothes ... how many differences exist between 2 boys.
Nature has a definite hand in the way people are despite the amount of nuturing that occur
So very true! I was happy that my children were both boys...as I may have written some of the differences off to gender if one had been a girl. Truly...

How hard it is not to act like my parents. Convinced I would not have a temper like my dad did and I don't not that my kids would know anyhow, but only because I fight it tooth and nail.

How different step children are than having your own to raise from a baby. I realized after raising our child that I never really felt like a 'mother' to my stepchildren because they already had a mother in their life. With our child, I can't believe the amount of pure love I have for her and how truly connected we both are. She is everything to me.
