So, it's a Limey thing.

You do know that "Limey" is an Irish word used to describe the English specifically? And the act of putting butter in sandwiches is a British thing (the British Isles also including Ireland)? So no, it's not a "Limey" thing.

Well sooz, when you get right down to it, the people in the British Isles are just descendants of the French that could swim.

I was probably 20 years old when I found out that butter on a sammich wasn't normal. My mom has always put mayo on one side, and butter on the other side.

I don't think it's a southern thing...I certainly don't know anyone who does that and I've lived in the south all my life.
