Personally, I am hoping Santorum will win, so he can lose to Obama and put the bible thumpers to rest for a while.
Dear effing god please no! Not Santorum! He will most likely be the first candidate ever to have his own state vote vehemently against him.

It's like EVERY TIME there is a conflict or an issue about Romney it's the media trying to sabotage him.
The media have a vested interest in the conflict continuing rather than concluding. It's not that hard to figure out.

I agree with that. 24 hour stations need and often create controversy.
But you do know it's possible that some people are genuinely concerned with him, right? It's not *always* the media manufacturing it. We live in a country that is shallow enough to think Obama isn't a citizen. It's not out of the realm of possibility that some people out there are concerned with his religion or his political flip-flopping. A simple Google search or trip to an opponent's rally will show that.

It is reasonable to conclude that a larger percentage of adamantly ultra-conservative republicans participate in the primary than do in the general election. That causes the voting to skew towards the more extremely right-wing for the purposes of primary vote-counting. I believe that almost all of this "Not Romney" business is caused by it.

A LOT of Democrats are voting in the Republican primary in Michigan.
All of them for Santorum.....which is funny as hell. As close as the race is, they might just be enough to put him over the top.
Gawd I hope so. This is the most entertaining primary I can ever remember. Mittens, frothy anal discharge, and Dr. Strangelove.

This and the Operation CHAOS stuff from four years ago are why primaries should be closed to only those registered in the party.
They should also be privately funded by the party's treasury.

It's sad that so many folks think it's okay to be quite nasty to a guy who is pretty nice.
