In my experience, women tend to go overboard about something they find annoying. It's more fun to annoy them more to the point they get REALLY pissed off and then laugh at them for being that pissed off.
Accomplishes two things. Tests our limits and at the same time exposes us to how retarded we can be, which hopefully desensitizes us to it, so we won't be so controlling/dramatic about other things.
I've been through it, I don't give a ###t much anymore and thus don't have these problems often. I find destroying a good time or worse based on my own irrational annoyances a profanity thing to do.
