Like Best Buy, Staples, etc?
Did you ever feel guilty pushing crap services and extended warranties on well-meaning, nice customers who don't know any better?
I feel like all I do all day at my job is take advantage of sweet old people and sell them overpriced crap they barely even need.

When I did, I didn't work on commission. The assholes I took advantage of, the nice people I told them where to go to get a better price.

Worked in a family-run electronics store when i was a teen. Nothing underhanded went on.

Well I don't really work on commission either, I mean I get some extra amount of money for pushing crap but it's barely anything.
It's just the management where I work don't care if you sell products, they only want you to sell their services and warranties along with those products because I guess they make much more money that way. And if you don't sell, they cut your hours.
So for example, someone comes in and wants to buy a $60 printer. It's not good enough for the managers that I sell that printer, they also want me to get it covered, so the customer pays $60 + $50 for the warranty.
