She is a left handed Epee fencing ranked 6th in the US rolling polls. If she gets up to 4th she is eligible for the Olympics. She has a younger sister that she taught to fence who is also a member of the club that I am a member at.

I always wanted to try fencing but I feel like I'm getting to that age where it just starts being a little weird unless you pick it up with your son or something...

Yes. I lump it in there with skateboarding and being a lifeguard. Fine if you've been doing it since you were a teenager, but a little weird to start now...
