When I was growing up they had "leaded" and "unleaded".

I'm 35.

as long as i have bought gas, 99.9% of which has been in New England, REGULAR was the term used for 87 octane gas.
i do remember seeing LEADED gas sparingly way back when, but that was NOT called regular.

just got gas yesterday morning, sign says REGULAR...hell you even gave a breakdown of the term.

now that Sith has edited the OP, the thread was clarified.

i also call unleaded gas regular now but i call diesel fuel "fuel" and i call soda pop "soda"

its all about how people term things and context i was just harrasing you cause im bored as ass at work i should be out camping and fishing not sitting here waiting for some one to need parts for a 76 CJ 7 that mopar no longer carries.
