Here are my opinions from a different thread on the Console Board:
I JUST finished it 2 minutes ago with the "good" ending I guess, where you die and merge Synthetic and Organic Tech and everybody lives happily ever after, minus no Mass Effect relays of course as they all get blown up.
No, I don't like it. In fact, it pisses me off the more I think about it but that might wear off in a few days.
For me, Mass Effect is probably the best "story telling" series ever created for a Video Game, with a very well written, mature and respected story. ME3 is definitely one kick ass game story and gameplay wise, but I get why people are pissed over the ending.
I plan on replaying it tomorrow and destroying the Reapers even though it means killing the Geth, which I don't want to do after I saved them. I suppose Edi will die too.
Eh whatever. Its frustrating.
What did I expect? I actually think a better story ending would have been that "Shepard shows the Reapers that Organic Life is for once, capable of standing together on their own terms and free will and uniting the galaxy and that there is finally a true hope for peace. After seeing that, they decide to leave, forever."
Ok, maybe some of you would be raging if that was the ending, but it would be better I think.
Sigh.
Ok, lets talk Sequels:
You know they will do a Sequel because they have made millions on this series so the business case is there. What I am NOT sure about is, how do you do a sequel now with the Mass Effect relays all being blown to hell? Different races being intermingled, etc, etc. I guess destroying the Reapers could possibly be the "Bioware Official Canon" ending, leaving some new threat to the galaxy to come along in a new sequel..... If the Mass Effect relays are blown up, the game could take place... oh christ I don't know. argggg..
Bah I don't know.

I survived to the end and got nothing out of it, but hey.
