Hey ontex, you might find this interesting. Way back in 1979 I was traveling thru NC and stopped at a Krispy Kreme. They had big glass windows so you could see the entire kitchen from outside. Worst donuts I had ever eaten in my life! When they moved to WA I still remember people here going ape isht for them and thought, "WTF?"

Went to Cracker Barrel once. Had the pulled pork bbq. Came home and licked my ass like a dog to get the taste out.

Black Bear is pretty good, but it's nowhere near as good as Cracker Barrel.
Decades ago, Denny's grand slam was about the best in the business but they've slid so far that I can't even eat there anymore.
My aunt Carolyn would plan whole road trip vacations around which Cracker Barrels we'd be stopping at.

lol, yeah they still have that, the window so you can see them being made. Also there's a light that comes on when you can get them right after they're made that they turn on in the morning
I've never been a huge fan of donuts from there. I'm more of a hole-in-the-wall place kind of person

Perkins is pretty damn awesome, if you get a good one. Some of their franchises are pretty horrible however so they don't get national consideration like the rest of the above.

Bah, I don't even use the men's room at work, I drive home to do that business since I live like a 3 minute drive away
