Do you shop at the dollar store? |
we bought a lot of the stuff that my daughter sent to her friend in Iraq at the dollar store. I get wrapping paper and birthday party stuff. cube decorations. I try to stay away from anything that might be harmful, paints with lead etc.

Not often because I forget but there's one really close to home. It's good for gift wrap and kid's party favors. I buy their bubbles because they sell the scented ones that last longer. Sometimes I'll just walk around the store and impulse shop

I buy all of my cleaning supplies, toiletries and kitchen supplies from the dollar store. Better than getting the same things for 3 times the price at the grocery store.

we have
Dollar General stores
Dollar tree stores
Deals store
...and the Dollar Stretcher caught on fire
never made it into that one before the fire
the dollar stores around here have a lot of great deals and there are many things under 5 dollars, especially around the holidays
Big Lots is still my favorite store to look for bargains in.

Usually for Halloween when I am looking for cheap parts to make halloween costumes for my kids. For example I bought a pack of flexible book lights to use as headlights/tail lights for my son's car costume.
I also bought these really cute mini-pine trees, decorative pots and mini ornaments to give to my kids' teachers with a gift card.
Generally if I know I am going to one though, I take half a valium first. Those places are INSANE and make People of Walmart look like Macy's customers in comparison.
