In a way it is like "the simpsons" where they had the 99 cent store the 66 cent store and the 33 cent store -- just with inflation...

Oh, I also get my acid reflux medication there. 4 bucks for a 90 day supply vs 28 bucks a month thru my insurance. And I like to browse their "house wares" section. I go thru a ton of dish towels and pot holder and they have some funky ones that I like for almost nothing.
Fun place, everyone should check them out.

The only things that really suck are most of the kid toys and all knick knacks. Laughable bad.

I don't even think we have dollar stores around here. Last time I went to one, I couldn't find anything less than $5.
That is pretty much the only place we shopped at when I was growing up (read: poor), so I refuse to know that I am grown up (read: rich).

like 10 sponges for 1$
shampoo for 1$
like every spice for 1$ each
its also the only place around here that still has shasta cola
