If I have to pass a drug test to have a good job I would like all recipients of my effort to be just as clean as I am.

Get rid of jobless benefits. Use the same money to hire them to do work. Even if it's just picking up trash, you might as well get something out of them.

I would much rather have them spend one day a week picking up trash, digging ditches, maintain public facilities, or in some other way make their community a better place to live. They would still have four weekdays to look for a job, plus they would have incentive to look for one.
If they're doing something useful, I don't really care if they take drugs. The same goes for other jobs as long as it doesn't affect my safety (airplane pilots, heavy machine operators, etc...)

Just like the ski lodge with young women looking for husbands and husbands looking for young girls, the situation is not as symmetric as it first appears.

WHAT????? You want them to work for a living??? That's unpossible. (not everyone just the people that perpetually live on welfare and the government/ my money)

This thread begs the question: do the "women" of ACF use a funnel to get that much sand in their vagina or do they just slide around the beach like an angry Roomba? -deadcactus-

Opinion = fact. Anecdote = proof. Political label more important than either of those.

I think it would be more unpossible for the well off people receiving extended unemployment and keeping their nice homes on the tax payer's dime, but when their homes go under we'll see what they'll do for the check.

Just give it up. You never make any points, just spam and immature mocking. BT expresses his thoughts in ways you've proven incapable.
Isn't there somewhere you can fight-flirt with PKhere or ramble about useless meta-drama instead of ruining good topics with petty insult?

No. It's already been shown to be waaaaaaay too cost ineffective for welfare programs. Plus if they're collecting unemployment, it means they were actually employed, as in they earned the right to those benefits. There are enough hoops to jump through already.

No, most drug users will quit while looking for work anyway, and people getting unemployment in the first place are not the issue. The issue is people staying on it for years and then saying they need another year to find anything.
Cut down length of benefits available if you want to cut costs. No reason to institute a moneysink and add a new hoop for people that are already down on their luck to jump through.
